cosmetics update announcement and launch date


hello chaps,

its been a bit since the last update, i thought i owe you guys an update on what i have been doing and when the new update will be released

first off, to get the main thing out of the way, the new update should be coming out around Thursday 6pm Australian Standard Time. 

update rundown

i want to make this update a big one, as last update didn't necessarily add too much although it was meant to be the 0.1.0.0 update. the reason for that mostly, was for the gun system. there was two large flaws with the gun system i had in place being the guns didn't work, and there weren't enough of them. the gun you started  with worked fine, but all the other guns had some kind of issue in some way, like the shotgun only shooting once, or the rifle facing the wrong way and not firing.

either way, i have realized that the guns in this game wont have as big of an impact as i though they would. playing without the guns is fun enough so i have decided to delay the "proper" implementation of them. 

the future on the guns

instead, i have decided to release them in a couple updates time. being the update after the "graphics and maps " update. there is a good reason for this too. how the guns will work, is that the guns will already be in the game, and players will need to find and retrieve them in order to use them the guns will be glowing and outlined in order for them to be clearly visible, and there will be enough of them so that they wont run out. the problem with this is that, the map needs to be made first so i can put all the guns in their respect spaces.

so that leaves the question, what have i been doing over the first 3 weeks. and the answer to that is, quite a bit.

the main changes

i have finished with the main menu, all the buttons work and i have been expanding on it so that there are options and tweaks that everyone uses, so the game is now completely available to most people. secondly, i have been heavily working on the cosmetics system, and right now its working as intended. players can now win and earn coins, spend those coins to gain cosmetics like new characters, trails, gun skins and hats. these customizations i have been working on aswell. i aim to add every "common"  hat, character, and trail . the commons, despite the name dont dictate rarity, it dictates the quality. i don't want this game to turn into CSGO where people spend thousands of dollars for a virtual butter knife. however i do want all the cosmetics to have atleast some value to them.  the common cosmetics will practically be reskins with different colours, the characters will be different colours of the default ones, the commons will be different colour caps, the trails will be basic different coloured trails. the rares are more in depth, different models and more complex, however nothing particularly special or outstanding. the legendaries will be flashy and animated, looking cool and noticeable in a match.  and finally mythics, which will be the coolest looking, and the rarest, only being two per category, 8 in total. overall im looking to add 105+ different cosmetics, and i will add them per update, the commons this update, the rares next, then the legendries, then the mythics. the only exception being the gun skins, as they wont be in the game until i add the guns.

work in progress 

another thing im trying to add is added UI. a pause menu so you can leave a match, a leaderboard system so you can see who has the most lives remaining. additionally im looking to add a match making system. where, based on the amount of neo (the in-game currency) a player has, players will be matched into different lobbies. however i will also be making a room system so you can still play with your friends. however dont expect the lobby system to be in the game just yet as it is still pretty broken. finally, actual animations, some skins will have unique ones, but for the most part, the player wont be T posing any more.
