0.1.0.0 - the first major update


the time is here, the first major update of blastel battle grounds is here
this update has made quite a few important changes.  all of these changes are centered around the gameplay loop and general combat.

  • added the basis for a new gun system. currently only added five but planned to have upwards of 24 by the near future
  • added the basis for the currency system
  • disabled the axis rotation on the player. instead locking it to just the head
  • added a height  barrier to the map
  • added a death system where the player can now properly die
  • added a score system, when a player can loose point per death
  • added a win system when a player has enough kills
  • added a currency system and rewards on win. 
  • added a win and loose screen
  • change the dash so that it keeps the momentum of the dash
  • added a pause menu 
  • made it so the player looses all their momentum on death

    however. there are many known bugs with this update especially with the player sync. which broke write before i created this devlog, and the weapon list is still incomplete. so stay on the look out in the very near future. potentially even within a day for the 0.1.0.1 update as this update was released in an incredibly rushed manner which should try and fix most of these bugs. another thing to note is the spawning system will not be functional yet and will take another update so for the meantime just search for the weapons already on the map.

    there is currently a community doc for all future plans also on the discord. but this will be updated to a new website in the future
